The south American countries has major impact on American economy and the economic concern of one of an important country raise our body of knowledge regarding the economic trend in that particular country and its impact on overall economy as well. South American Country The economy of South America consists of twelve nations with three territories and comprise of 6% of population in the world. I have choose Brazil among other South American countries as Brazil is the largest South American country and Brazil is one of the fastest growing economies of the world. It is ranked at fifth spot in the world regarding population and geographical region and fifth largest economy regarding GDP in the world. The economic concern of Brazil is effectively contributes to world economy and interesting trend of economy can be seen. (Abreu, 2005). Economic Concern Among four economic concern including GDP, quantities of specific Goods and services gross Domestic Product (GDP), and unemployment inflation I have selected inflation. Inflation is an important economic concern that will effect the economy in great extend and inflation rate of a country economy is an important indicator for a country growth prospective. Inflation means rise in the general price level of the country and loss the real value of money as fewer commodities will bought with each additional unit of currency. Inflation directly relate to the economic productivity and has positive and negative both effect on economy as it create economic uncertainty which may discourage saving and investment. High prices of general commodities and hoarding will be its largest disadvantage. In positive sense it may encourage non monetary investment. But the inflation rate needs to be control in order to sustain country economy. Inflation trend in Brazil The inflation rate in Brazil is fluctuating over the years. No consistent trend can be seen in the inflation rate ac past year data support this assumption. According to the data displayed by ( IPCA) in 2002 the inflation rate was 12.53% that is quite high rate. Then the decreasing trend of inflation rate can be seen in Brazil economy as 9.3% in 2003, 7.6% in 2004, 5.69% in 2005, and 3.14% in 2006 that is least in this decade. Then the slight increasing trend can be seen in rate of inflation. 4.46% can be seen in 2007 and 5.91 in 2008. The fluctuating trend can be seen in this range in coming years as well. (Inflation Statistical table) Statistical Table Inflation (IPCA) 2002 12.53% 2003 9.30% 2004 7.60% 2005 5.69% 2006 3.14% 2007 4.46% 2008 5.91% Past two years Inflation Trend Past two years monthly inflation rate trend can be seen from this graph that shows the monthly frequency of the inflation rate. The graph bars shows the trend of inflation from year 2011 that is 6.01%. The increasing slope can be seen from March, 2011 up to October, 2011. Inflation rate at the month of October is the highest that is 7.31%. Then the control implementation on inflation increasing trend can be seen from 7.31% to the deep low rate at 4.92% in July, 2012 that is complemented to Brazil economy. The upward Trent at semi annual bases can be seen in Brazil economy. The last recorded inflation rate of 6.15% that is quite high. Brazil government target inflation rate is 4.5% with the plus and minus tolerance margin of 2% in it. The high inflation trend is important consideration for the government as increasing inflation rate affect the economy in deep roots and make the investment and saving difficult. People purchasing power will be effected that will effect their standard of living and indulge the poverty level in the country as commodities will be difficult to purchase with even more money in hand because due to inflation country will lose its real money value. (De Paiva Abreu, 2005). According to IBGE report it is recorded from 1980 the Brazil inflation trend has gone through various fluctuations. Historical data shows average of 411.8 % Brazil inflation rate that reached at highest rate of inflation of 6821.3 % in April 1990 that was the highest rate for all time. The low inflation rate of 1.7 percent was found in December 1998. The measure used to calculate inflation is consumer price index. Brazil important contribution in consumer price index are tobacco, food and alcohol that covers 31% of total, 15 percent by transport sector and communication carries 5 %. . (Brazil Inflation Rate) Statistical Evidence comparing various countries inflation rate Inflation Rate of various countries is showing the Brazil high rate of inflation as compare to other countries except India that has the inflation Rate o f 6.62. An increasing trend is quite threatening for Brazilian government for economic growth and required close consideration to control the rate in future in order to stabilize the economy. Conclusion The Inflation rate and economic stability are closely related to one another and required close concern in order to stabilize the economy. Brazil increasing trend provide the threatening for its future concerns and shows that the government need to closely consider this regime in order to stabilize the economy and to achieve the economical growth in the world.

Discuss how Shakespeare makes a statement in the first and second lines, and then use lines 2-12 to give examples which supports his viewpoints. In the first two lines of the poem Shakespeare writes, Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments: love is not love The first line shows that he thinks you should not marry unless you are faithful. He says ‘let me not’ which means that he does not approve of the untrue or unfaithful minds marrying. The second line means that there will be obstacles in your way and you must be willing to face or overcome them. Otherwise ‘love is not love’, or you will not experience love at its most true. How Do the Novel Holes Deal with the Issue of Power? Essay

Essay questions: how do the novel holes deal with the issue of power? . Intro: Holes, by Louis Sachar, are a very important novel for students to study when learning about power and justice. The novel explores these two themes closely as we are taken an a journey through around camp green lake with Stanley, a character who has been wrong fully accused of stealing a pair of sneakers. Through the techniques ideas of characterisation setting and themes, the author is successful in communicating different ideas about power. The first technique is characters in holes are used to show how different people have different levels of power. Stanley, the main character is described as being overweight, shy and unpopular. And he was innocent of the crim for which he was convicted. Stanley was a given a choice by the judge, ‘’you may go to jail, or you may go to camp green lake.’’ (Chapter 2, page 5). He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whenever something went wrong Stanley’s family would always blame Stanley’s no –good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great—grandfather because of his awful luck and hopeless luck. The warden is very different character who is described as powerful, mean and unjust and the only rule was in the camp green lake is ‘don’t upset the warden’ , the warden was feared by many of the kids , because she pushing the boys to work harder . the evidence of her being powerful is in (chapter 1 page 3 )’’ the Warden owns the shade’’ X-ray, one of the boys Stanley’s makes friends with at camp green lake is described as powerful person in the powerless group. He earned a day off because Stanley gave the lid lip stick X-ray said to Stanley that he should give whatever he finds to him because he has been there for a year and he deserves the day off more than he does, so the warden lets X-ray have the rest of the day off, a double shower and a clean set of clothes and she also orders Mr.Pedanski to fill all the canteen with water. The evidence of these is when X-Ray said ‘’ if you find something else give it to me, okay?’’. (ch.11, Pge52) All of these characters demonstrate that power is not distributed evenly in camp green lake and highlight that in society, people can feel powerful and powerless depending on their experiences. The second technique, setting is used to show how the boys experience very unfair and uncomfortable condition during their time at camp green lake. The name of the camp is ironic because the lake is actually dry and brown. Camp green lake name’s fall somewhere between a joke and a curse, nothing is green there and there is no lake, its full-blow desert. ‘’the average temperature in the shade is 95 degrees’’ (ch1, page 3), and the boys have a very difficult life there because they work hard and they didn’t have a rest time just when they find something they will take a day off like X-ray. And they were sleep in coat, get 4 minute shower and relax in a recreation room where ever thing is wrecked. Mr. Sir makes the bandage out of his sunflowers seeds sack and tells Stanley to go right back to work â€Å"it is not nap time.’’ (ch 17 page 78). Sacher creates barren setting to emphasise how the boys at camp were mistreated and that sometimes in life, people are powerless to their living conditions. The third technique that made Holes such an effective novel for students to read is dialogue; dialogue is used by Sacher to communicate all of the emotions felt by the character at different points in the story. When Stanley talks to Zero about teaching Zero how to read, but Stanley rejects Zero’s request. But then after awhile Zero dagged Stanley’s hole while he was away so Stanley found out that he have the power over Zero with simply teaching him. On the other hand Stanley has justice between him and Zero because their deal was to dig hole for Stanley and in exchange he teaches Zero. An evidence of this is when Stanley said â€Å"I’ll try to teach you to read†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (Ch.22.Pg.96) he expresses what he will do and how much f ability he will put to teach Zero. Therefore, dialogue is the most effective technique in Holes and that the novel Holes is an important novel for students to study while learning about power and justice. In conclusion the idea of power is expressed in a different ways in the novel Holes. The author, Louis Sacher, has used a many different techniques including characterisation, setting and dialogue to communicate his ideas easily and in a fun way. This book is very entertaining for young readers and teaches that power is an important issue that affects all people in society.

Life Experience Personal Statement Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Life Experience - Personal Statement Example I recognized that I needed a mentor or role model that exemplified those characteristics, but I just didn't have the good fortune of finding one to which I could easily relate. In my earlier years, I dropped out of high school then ultimately obtained a GED so that I could pursue my dream of going back to school and study to become a nurse. I started in a college program, but dropped out. I'm sure my feelings of inadequacy about not being smart enough to do well in school were attributable in part to not completing high school. Additionally, I had gained more responsibility and as a result, less time to work on my own goals and objectives. I had gotten married and had children to care for, so the responsibility of managing a family and home along with making a commitment to a significant academic goal was difficult to imagine. Initially my husband was who I counted on for support and motivation. He and my children were my life and I was happy until circumstances ultimately led to a divorce. The life change and trauma of that event further reinforced my thoughts of inadequacy and I struggled with my "failure" in dealing with life. Of course, that was a fool ish thought since the experience ultimately demonstrated I had the strength to continue and to thrive regardless of his involvement, but that realization came much later. Human Rights and English Law (LLB Level) Is Ronald Dworkin a Essay

Human Rights and English Law (LLB Level) Is Ronald Dworkin a positivist or a natural lawyer Discuss, with reference to the differences between the natural - Essay Example classified as a classical Natural lawyer because he does not equate morally unjust law with bad law, although he does highlight the value of the moral dimension to law when he states: â€Å"According to law as integrity, propositions of law are true if they figure in or follow from the principles of justice, fairness and procedural due process that provide the best constructive interpretation of the community’s legal practice.†1 Although Dworkin also endorses some of the Positivist views such that the fact that law is guided by a wide framework of social conventions or rules, he could best be classified as a natural lawyer since he suggests that every legal action has a moral dimension. This aspect assumes special importance in the context of human rights, which are enshrined in international human rights treaties, since human rights are not confined within the limits of a particular state. The universal nature of human rights ascribes to it a moral foundation in its in terpretation, since the moral aspect of human rights involves an identification of the minimum requirements for human beings to lead a good life. Human rights are deemed to be universal in the sense that all human beings have these rights and should be able to enjoy them.2 The idea of law being â€Å"natural† implies that it is derived from the basis of morality. The foundation of natural law is that a putative norm cannot be considered legally valid, unless and until it is able to pass the moral threshold. The utilitarian position on liberty is based upon the proposition that the value of individual freedom is generally associated with that of greater good for society as a whole.3 Therefore, as stated by Feldman, â€Å"once something has been identified as a good, it must prima facie be made available to all without differentiating with reference to preferred outcomes.4 Fuller highlights this aspect of â€Å"good† in attributing an internal system of rules in framing the law. He contends that framing
